Artists Alliance of Jupiter
ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES:  New artist space in jupiter

FYI~
Please e-mail Susan2381@bellsouth.net<mailto:Susan2381@bellsouth.net> or call Susan Lorenti at (954) 588-7275 for more information.

PLEASE CONSIDER THIS EXCLUSIVE INVITATION... to join the new Artists Alliance of Jupiter as a founding member. We are inviting you to participate as a juried core of professionals in the growth and development of the group.  Together we will promote the awareness of art and education to the community and surrounding counties.

WE ARE SEEKING QUALITY ARTISTS...who are looking for a working venue to show their work 6 days a week and all year round instead of relying entirely on the traditional art shows alone. Imagine... your gallery is the place you will send your clients when you are traveling, knowing your work is well presented and secure.  You will have your own working studio that you can invite your clients to visit and conduct business. This will be a gallery that relies on its members for mutual support. The group is for serious artists, who want to stay connected with clients and fellow artists, in a creative setting.

THE GALLERY WILL BE A PROFESSIONAL VENUE...for the display and sale of member's art.  We will design a co-op schedule to monitor the gallery.  This will provide everyone the opportunity to go on the road and participate in other ventures.  Our customers will see an art gallery but it will informal enough to stimulate creating new business opportunities for each other. Members will support the operation in agreeing to staff the gallery on a rotating basis.  In valuing the clients and visitors, they will be greeted and assisted by the artist member on schedule, providing their unique perspective on the displayed work of all members. Each artist space will include actual workspace.  We encourage the creation of an inspiring and productive area for each artist.

NOW IS THE TIME TO DRAW NEAR TO OTHER GREAT TALENT...We will align the Artist Alliance of Jupiter to take advantage of the current growth in the interest in the arts and the bustle of business activity in Jupiter.  The gallery will be set up so that each artist will have their own working studio space and at the same time to exhibit works for sale. There will also be shared space with optimum visibility to display pieces. There are no gallery commissions. Sales go directly to the artist. Each artist is allowed the spontaneity to show exciting new work and price at their own discretion a well as class opportunities. Featured shows will be planned to showcase each artist.

WE ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS GROUP...Many of you know that we have been looking for just the right place and at this time and are negotiating a retail space in Jupiter Florida that can accommodate a remaining 5 working studios. 4 artists that work in clay can share two spaces. There is also an opportunity to rent wall space as low as $50. Per month. There may be room for a few seasonal artists on a case-by-case review. Our target or being open to the public is June 1 2010.

WE HOPE THAT YOU WILL JOIN US.
Along with your feedback, your individual requirements are most important! If this opportunity interests you, would you kindly take a moment to share your comments, concerns or questions?

Please e-mail me at Susan2381@bellsouth.net<mailto:Susan2381@bellsouth.net> or call Susan Lorenti at (954) 588-7275

About this Property

Located in Fort Lauderdale's historic Sailboat Bend neighborhood, the Artspace Sailboat Bend Lofts are complete! Artspace, in a unique public/nonprofit partnership with Broward County Cultural Division and the City of Fort Lauderdale, have created 37 units of affordable live/work studios for individuals and their families. The live/work units are available to families earning 50% and 60% of area median income. There are 16 1-bedroom, 18 2-bedroom, and three 3-bedroom units in the three-story building designed in a U-shape around dedicated parking. Adjacent to the new-construction lofts, we are renovating the Historic West Side School, built in 1923, as the new home for the Broward County Historical Commission. This exciting new facility is located within walking distance of downtown Fort Lauderdale and its many cultural facilities, the Riverwalk, and Himmarshee historic district.

After almost ten years of work, we are excited this project has become a reality for the arts community, its patrons and supporters throughout Broward County. It's a win, win, win: a historical restoration, an arts project with new housing, and a new home for the Historical Commission in a historic neighborhood.
